Reconnecting with Others

It's easy in our busy world to lose touch of friends and loved ones.

Sometimes it's because your schedules don't match up and finding the time to get together is tough.

Sometimes it may be from an argument, hurt feelings keeping you from reaching out.

A day or two can lead to a week and sometimes months without contact.

Defensiveness can build. You may believe it’s on the other person to make the first move; that you shouldn’t have to make all the effort to maintain the relationship.

If you have someone in your life that you feel distant from, that you miss and want in your life, make today the day you change that relationship.

Don’t wait another moment. Life is too short to have distance, tension and longing for closer connections in your relationships.

  • Pick up the phone and call.
  • Send them an email.
  • Stop by their house with cookies or coffee or flowers.
  • Text them a funny picture.
  • Post on their Facebook page asking to get together.

Tell them you miss connecting with them. Take a chance. Make the effort. Be bold and reach out for what you want. Live Authentically.

Today is the day!
